Slow Carb Diet: Day 4

Slow Carb Diet: Day 4

From Lao Ocean Girl, 1 year ago Similar articles

No headache today.  Taking Brandon’s advice and others on forums, I tried to drink more water throughout the day.  Another person suggested that it could also be from a sugar withdrawal.  I’m pretty sure I don’t consume enough sugar to get headache withdrawals from it, but who knows' Day 4 – Breakfast: 2 fried eggs and a turkey pattie with salsa. I had already started eating this until I remembered to take a picture.  7:30am Day 4 – Lunch: A mixture...

Borondo at ESC

Borondo at ESC

From Rome Photo Blog, 3 weeks ago, Similar articles

ESC recently reinnaugurated its space after some renovations and got some fresh paint by a bunch of street artists, both inside and out.  Borondo tackled one of the outer walls with this beautiful use of perspective and space.   On a side note, I apologize if anyone coming to the blog over the past few weeks has had trouble or slow loading speed.  I was having problems with my server but have switched to a new provider, so things should be better than ever!

Driving Lessons 1: Seeing the Bigger Picture

Driving Lessons 1: Seeing the Bigger Picture

From maryannisms, 1 month ago, Similar articles

Often we find fault or blame the driver in front of us on the general traffic condition. How many times have we caught ourselves saying, ?Oh why is he going so slow'? of the driver ahead who seems to be on a sightseeing tour rather than rushing his way to the office like us who are now running late' Many times we may even say, ?Dumb guy' or ?Stupid driver' if the car before us suddenly stops when the traffic is clearly on go; or simply how he seems to be going backwards instead of forwards....

A long Easter weekend in...

From The Dutched Pinay, 1 month ago, Similar articles

Just 1 more day's work and I will be flying out to Copenhagen, Denmark to spend Easter there. This is going to be a solo trip so I'm going to indulge myself a little bit. There are a few concrete plans on the agenda but for the rest I just want to take things slow. No need to hurry and see all the must-see sights and must-do stuffs. I don't know but I'm suddenly feeling too old and world-weary to do these things. Life's shifting these days. One thing for sure... this will be a weekend of...

Arriving in style: 25 kilometre traffic on the highway to Berlin

Arriving in style: 25 kilometre traffic on the highway to Berlin

From The Dutched Pinay, 1 month ago, Similar articles

Well, well, Berlin welcomed the Dutchman and I royally with a 25 kilometre traffic! We turned on the radio and heard from the news that there was an accident. There's not much that we can do but go through the waiting process. And although sitting in a slow moving traffic can make you restless, it can also create on-the-spot creative pastimes such as photography. Perfect diversion! =)We lost an hour to this unexpected traffic.A candid shot. In our relationship, I am the official chauffeur....

Why I love Mexico-- Reason Number 1.

From Que Pasa?, 1 month ago, Similar articles

One of the questions I am often asked, is why I live in Mexico, and what makes me stay. One of, or probably more accurately, the biggest reason to me, is the people. Mexicans are open, friendly, and sharing is done without even a thought. They have taught me to slow down and enjoy what, and who, is around you. To absolutely live in the moment. Walking down the street, everyone makes eye contact and greets you. I have been invited into homes for parties and to share meals, by total strangers,...

Week 51

Week 51

From Forever is Tomorrow is Today, 1 month ago, Similar articles

I slacked off a little on these weekly posts a few weeks ago, but that didn't mean the photos weren't being taken. It is a little bit denial on my part that this first year is coming to a close, a little bit because life is busy, and, well, a little bit because she refuses to sit still for a picture. So here we go. Our last week of having a baby. She is quickly running from baby Lila to toddler Lila and I so want her to slow down, in more ways than one.Balloons, balloons, oh how I love...

Are you looking for gluten free or low carb pancakes'  If so, you should give these a try!One of the articles I read on Fibromyalgia and diet suggested that some of us with fibromyalgia could benefit from a gluten free diet.  Before making a complete switch I decided to do some research to see what I could and couldn't eat.  I started a collection of gluten free recipes on Pinterest and this one sounded like a winner.  The recipe was very easy to follow and the pancakes...

Travel Essay: Budapest

From Blogpourri, 1 month ago, Similar articles

Ajay Devgn. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. His stark white suit. Her lusciously rich red sari. The earthy tones of the concrete and metal of Chain Bridge. A maudlin song wailing in the background. Their meeting on the deserted bridge. Her limpid eyes. His sad face. And'you know the rest. The scene plays out in slow motion in my mind's eye as we gaze at the majestic Chain Bridge from the low wall that separates a bustling promenade from the expanse of the Danube (known as the...

Pregnancy Weight Gain

Pregnancy Weight Gain

From Real Life Online, 1 month ago, Similar articles

Since I am considered obese (aka just too darn fat), my recommended weight gain from the time I got pregnant us only between 11 to 20 lbs, compared to "normal" women who are allowed to gain between 25 to 35 lbs.I was on a diet during my first 2 months of pregnancy since I didn't know that I was pregnant. So now... looking at the chart, I'm way below my weight gain range. The doctor seems OK with it though...Pregnancy is definitely not the time to go on a weight-loss diet: Restricting your...

Cherry Clafoutis

Cherry Clafoutis

From Kristin Buesing, 1 month ago, Similar articles

It has rained almost all weekend which is quite unusual for Sydney summer but I so don't mind. It means I can stay at home and bake naughty little desserts before I start my detox diet next month, oomph. February will be my health month and knowing that I already crave all those things I am most certainly not allowed to eat then. Clafoutis, sometimes also spelled clafouti, is a baked French dessert of black cherries arranged in a buttered dish and covered with a thick flan-like batter. The...
