Remains of the Tree

Remains of the Tree

From Mooselet Musings, 8 month ago Similar articles

So the new job is taking more out of me than I'd hoped.  While it's not as physically tiring as my old job, there has been a lot to get my head around.  It was in the course of writing - or rather trying to write - a letter to apply to keep the job permanent that I came to the sad realization that my creative well is rather dry.  And it is because of that creative drought that I'm avoiding my blog.  Well that and the 3 kids still at home who keep me incredibly busy when I'm...

The Remains of the Déjeuner

From The Bold Soul, 5 days ago, Similar articles

Finally having time to explore our new quartier this weekend, we stumbled on this restaurant ("Le Mansart") on a side street between Blanche and Pigalle, and decided to have lunch. I had an amazing salad with lemon-marinated chicken, fresh melon and Parmesan. Apparently, they do a brunch (with mimosas!) on Sundays so we'll have to come back some time. And they have foosball, so what's not to love'

pleuvoir

From French Word-A-Day, 1 weeks ago, Similar articles

The old mulberry tree and a mis-mash pistache of chairs beneath. Big, small, creaky and tall--unstable as the weather! Jean-Marc was right -- everything would work out fine. So when the rain drops began to fall, I carried on, setting up for our 30 guests comme si de rien n'était, as if nothing was amiss.24, 25, 26... After several aller-retours to the house and back, there were almost enough chairs... Jackie's nightstand was dragged out... It would hold two more people, just throw...

Baby it's Cold Outside.

Somewhere.Doesn't matter if it is hot, or cold outside, everyone retreats to the shade eventually. Unless of course, you are a tree. Then you're pretty much stuck with it. COUNTDOWN CALENDAR with TEA COLLECTION

From Delhi Bound, 1 weeks ago, Similar articles

Years ago, I wrote for Tea Collection - a darling clothing company that marries the concept of raising global citizens with awareness about world issues and combines it with some really great clothes. Mia has just now grown out of some the darling pieces that we acquired from Tea, and it remains one of my favorites. Tea, the drink, is shared in nearly every culture around the world. Being Tea is about experiencing life together, even when we're not in the same place. It means taking the...

Berlin is Blooming

Berlin is Blooming

From Snooker in Berlin, 2 weeks ago, Similar articles

Easter Egg Tree Ah, I love spring and most of what comes with it. Here in Berlin it brings the people out. Many of us have been trapped inside for months now. The winter weather in the Hauptstadt is simply put, not pleasant. Temperatures hovering at the 0 mark (32F) for months on end, a gray blanket which serves as a sky shielding us from the sun; these things are considered normal through the harsh Berlin winter. Spring on the Spree To remain true to our Berlin heritage, the...

This and That

From Frenchless in France, 3 weeks ago, Similar articles

Once again I have some unrelated photos, at least as far as location. I guess I could put them all under the title of “Weather”. This being April and April being a month with unpredictable weather, I’ve been seeing a lot of dark skies and then, suddenly, sunshine. I like dark skies, really-so dramatic. I saw this view when we were at the market at Nation and liked the tower against the gray sky and the green chestnut tree in front. This was especially dramatic with the...
