The red shoes

http://muddyredshoes.blogspot.com/

From July 12th 2007 until July 11th 2008 I am painting 100 paintings, oils and watercolours. When possible I will show the workings, sketches, scribbles, ink blots and ramblings that go towards making the paintings. There will be five subject categories with 20 paintings in each category. Landscapes. Work. Cafes & Bars. Buildings. Seascapes. The paintings will be for sale and will also be made into a book at the end of the project. Well I am excited now, so here we go...
Brown's Siding Cafe in the Blue Mountains

Brown's Siding Cafe in the Blue Mountains

From Kristin Buesing, 3 days ago, Similar articles

The last days of Autumn are coming to an end and I can feel the winter fast approaching. The mornings are way cooler than normal and it gets really cold inside the house. It's time to get the heater out. Mind you the sun is still lovely and temperatures still reach 23 degrees C. The leaves are so beautiful right now and this is the perfect time for the Blue Mountains which despite their name can be quite golden and red in Autumn. We stopped at a cafe, the Brown's Siding, for some delightful...

Next Restaurant, The El Bulli Menu

Next Restaurant, The El Bulli Menu

From Londonelicious: A food blog, 4 days ago, Similar articles

I was debating how to do this, how to tell you about the El Bulli kitchen table menu at Next which I enjoyed (understatement) on Friday night. I mean, sure, I took a lot of pictures. (They are all over here on my Facebook fan page.) I even shot some video, and thanks to Roam & Home’s suggestion, I even pepped the videos up a bit using the 8mm app on the iPhone. (See Maytag Blue Egg, Mint Pond, and the literal goodbye of the Marshmallow Gloves, all over on YouTube.) I had to remove...

Mesa Verde, Colorado and the Far View Lodge

Mesa Verde, Colorado and the Far View Lodge

From Here There and Everywhere, 1 weeks ago, Similar articles

Google Maps is pretty good; I use it on my computer, on my iPad and most of all, on my iPhone. I love that when I tell it to get me from Grand Canyon Village to Mesa Verde, Colorado, it gives me a variety of routes, with the exact mileage and estimated travel time for each. It is very accurate, and also gets us through small towns where you might have to change roads a time or two. You just make sure the pulsing blue ball is following the bright blue road. Piece of cake! Most of the drive...

It's time

It's time

From KhadijaTeri, 2 weeks ago, Similar articles

I'm wrapping things up so I can take a much needed break. Next month there are supposed to be elections in Libya and quite honestly I think this is gonna be a good time to 'get the heck outa Dodge'. Let them get on with it... without me. But of course before that can happen there will be major drama in my house. Sigh... you'd think I was asking to take a trip to the moon. It's been three years since I've been 'home'. I guess that's once in a blue moon. ... Mr Full Moon.... sigh....

Blue Cheese! At Last!

Blue Cheese! At Last!

From In My Life, 3 weeks ago, Similar articles

Hans hates blue cheese. Just like he hates escargots, offal, bouillabaise and just about any kind of stinky cheese. A shame because sometimes there's nothing I want more than to make something with escargots or spend an evening indulging in a plate of smelly French cheese.Just last Saturday however, he shocked me. He actually agreed to trying a piece of blue cheese as dessert after our weekly 'at-home-dinner-date'. Mind you though, it was a piece of Dutch blue cheese. Not that I minded. After...

A promise to my daughter - Roibos and Vanilla Muffins With Chocolate Chips

From Lucullian Delights, 3 weeks ago, Similar articles

Dark white. Seeing white through my camera often surprises me because the camera doesn't adjust nuances and shades like my brain does. There are so many whites: shining white, bright white, eggshell white, cream white, blue white, snow white, dirty white and dark white - the list is long. And it doesn't surprise me because if white is all colours come together, there are even more

Asking

From The Bold Soul, 4 weeks ago, Similar articles

It is not often I would ever use my blog to solicit donations for any cause. But this is different, and I respectfully ask you to please read the following. As I've mentioned recently, I have a very dear high school friend named Dwight, who about five weeks ago was suddenly diagnosed -- seemingly out of the blue, after only two weeks of "abdominal discomfort" -- with Stage 4 cancer (neuroendocrine, which is one of the more rare forms). He is only 50 or 51 years old, and has a...
