Driving through the musseque

From de kooijtjes, Today, Similar articles

It's always very crowded in the narrow, dusty streets of the slums. How come that there are no old people here' Is this because of the war' ?Yes, but also they don't come often out of their barakas. Besides, there are not really old people here as they usually don't reach the age of 50. The living conditions in the slum are extremely bad. With all the rain we had lately, the trees, grass and plants are chlorophyll green and I think this time I can say it's spring. Finally. In May. The opening weekend of the 2012 Tulips Festival was very warm, and most of the flowers had just bloomed. Dow's Lake was packed and people were fighting to have their picture taken by the flower beds. Eh, this is Canada,...

The house/palazzo is taking shape, very exciting!  Enormous crashes and bangs going on around my ears as I type - but no death or injury yet'!  (We are all getting good at scaling up wobbly ladders that don't look to be able to stand our weight).

Remember the lavender scented fruit salad' Well, since I had made the full recipe of the syrup, I had leftovers of the syrup after the fruit salad, so I put a tablespoon of the syrup and then added some carbonated water to it. Refreshing and delicious!
