I would always find it so hard to drag myself there and dodging trees roots and tripping over rocks would always make me groan inwardly, “Why the hell do I do this to myself'” But it always feels so damn good after I emerge from the jungle of trees. It’s one of my favourite places in Singapore. Do try and go for a hike or a run at least once if you are in Singapore. What’s the point of being in a...

Driving through the musseque

From de kooijtjes, Today, Similar articles

It's always very crowded in the narrow, dusty streets of the slums. How come that there are no old people here' Is this because of the war' ?Yes, but also they don't come often out of their barakas. Besides, there are not really old people here as they usually don't reach the age of 50. The living conditions in the slum are extremely bad. It's too crowded and utterly unhygienic with mounds of rotten garbage and no clean water.? The average life expectancy in Angola is not more than 39 years!...

Remember the lavender scented fruit salad' Well, since I had made the full recipe of the syrup, I had leftovers of the syrup after the fruit salad, so I put a tablespoon of the syrup and then added some carbonated water to it. Refreshing and delicious!

Aqueducts, and Lifestyles.

From Thread, Thrum and Frootery., 1 weeks ago, Similar articles

Straight and Narrow. The Aqueduct was a revolutionary invention used to propel water through fields, and into towns by utilising the simple law of gravity. Irrigation and drinking water require straight and narrow channels to function.Through the centuries, this hasn't changed for aqueducts - concrete devices for propelling water. For the rest of the world, straight and narrow channels are a little more than a hindrance, propelling very little if nothing at all. Each time Maurice and I return to what will be our new place in Chatelaillon we leave very happy that this is where we decided to build. The little town is delightful, the beach beautiful and we always just feel good there. Here’s our beach which goes on for quite a while. There’s a paved path higher up as well and we can walk or bike all the way to la Rochelle. We were sort of walking/jogging on the path and then decided to go down to the water where the sand is packed and all...
