Lafayette Gourmet and a late Lunch

From The Dutched Pinay, 4 month ago Similar articles

The Lafayette Gourmet is a foodie paradise! I just love the plethora of scrumptious FOOD from all over the world available here, food for sale even in small portions and 100 kilograms. Heaven. I remember the last time I was in here years back. I bought my lunch here and picnicked at the park. Hands down, this is a must stop.Although the French aren't the best in the cured sausage department (the Italians are in my opinion), I bought here a couple of dried French saucissons. Here is a TIP for...

So, the continuation of the story of the weekend's walk will have to wait.  Per això, l'historia del cap de setmana haurà d'esperar.Cause I was at the hairdresser's on Tue getting my hair dressed (cut) and he was telling me about this break up the week walk he was going to do with a friend (and fellow hairdresser.  They were going to leave super early Wed morning, climb Puig Mal (2911 M) and come back for lunch.  I asked, slightly pathetically, if I could come and he said...

The Remains of the Déjeuner

From The Bold Soul, 5 days ago, Similar articles

Finally having time to explore our new quartier this weekend, we stumbled on this restaurant ("Le Mansart") on a side street between Blanche and Pigalle, and decided to have lunch. I had an amazing salad with lemon-marinated chicken, fresh melon and Parmesan. Apparently, they do a brunch (with mimosas!) on Sundays so we'll have to come back some time. And they have foosball, so what's not to love'

Quick review on a new place at Publika. Plus points- love the chocolate cappuccino- tiramisu yummy- pasta (seafood pasta and the other one with mushroom cream) both were yummy and tasty and unexpected for a small restaurant like theirs - hubby loved the cod fish order Bad points- food portion were small!!! Trip to the Ilha do Cabo

From de kooijtjes, 6 days ago, Similar articles

Today I went to the Ilha for the first time. This 8 km long peninsula surrounds the Bay of Luanda. With its wide beaches this is the main recreational area of the city and also the place to be for Luanda's nicest nightclubs and restaurants. I didn't come here for lunch but for my first board meeting of the international club which was held at one of the member's home. Miraculously, this morning there was not the usual bad traffic and I had some spare time to drive to the very point of the...

Final Push: Marshall, TX to Home Sweet Home Pensacola

Final Push: Marshall, TX to Home Sweet Home Pensacola

From Here There and Everywhere, 1 weeks ago, Similar articles

AdventureMan looked at the map. We had thought we would stop somewhere in Louisiana today, spend the night, but . . . you get this close, and with just a little effort, we could be home. We could pick up the Qatari Cat. We could have dinner with our son and his wife and our sweet little grandson . . . We smile at each other, and head home. We stop for gas in Jackson, Mississippi, and find a family run BBQ nearby, where lunch is quick, and delicious, and we are back on the road in no time....

Don Jose's, A Bright Spot in Decatur, TX

From Here There and Everywhere, 1 weeks ago, Similar articles

The morning drive is interesting, as we leave Interstate 40 and cut across Texas headed toward Dallas-Fort Worth. The road is fast, and cuts through cattle ranches, farms, ranches and some deserted towns. By noon, we are more than ready for a stop, and decide to try to find something in Decatur. We don’t want same-old, we want local, and AdventureMan spots Don Jose’s. Lunch was good, and you are just going to have to take my word for it because I forgot to take any photos. Don...

Another quick lunch in Amsterdam: Pilaf basmati salad

From The Dutched Pinay, 1 weeks ago, Similar articles

Because I am on the road most of the times I get the opportunity to eat lunch outside. Well, I do not make this a habit really because I usually bring my own food. However, there are times that I am too busy to pack my lunch so I rely on supermarkets, or depending on location, a quick lunch in a cafe.Salad grains for lunch: Whole grain pilaf and basmati rice with pistachios, raisins, chickpeas and dill herbs, and some fresh mint hot tea. Salad is a bit dry but I like it so 4 stars out of 5....
