A Typical Lunch

A Typical Lunch

From Lao Ocean Girl, 1 month ago Similar articles

I’ve come to the realization that I can’t eat meat during the day when I’m at work.  For example, a lunch of leftover beef and rice will make me feel lethargic by 2pm.  So, I’m only been eating a vegetarian lunch for the last four months, and I love it!  I never crash in the afternoon and have lots of energy to spare by the time the school bell rings at 3:00pm.   This is my typical lunch, which I’m STILL not bored by.  The above picture has butter...

Lafayette Gourmet and a late Lunch

From The Dutched Pinay, 1 month ago, Similar articles

The Lafayette Gourmet is a foodie paradise! I just love the plethora of scrumptious FOOD from all over the world available here, food for sale even in small portions and 100 kilograms. Heaven. I remember the last time I was in here years back. I bought my lunch here and picnicked at the park. Hands down, this is a must stop.Although the French aren't the best in the cured sausage department (the Italians are in my opinion), I bought here a couple of dried French saucissons. Here is a TIP for...

The Gift of Time- Xmas 2011

The Gift of Time- Xmas 2011

From Over the Tuscan Stove, 1 month ago, Similar articles

It has been a tough year and I really didn't feel much in the xmas spirit. My husband and I did put up our xmas lights, the wreath on the door and our silly kinder creche set as decorations. But perhaps not having kids, it is not such a big deal. We give ourselves gifts during the year, mostly time spent together visiting new places. Memories. Here is the results of my xmas lunch. The best part was that I put into practice one of the recipes we learned in Sicily, rolling my own...

Happy Christmas, one and all (with link to our annual newsletter)

From This is Cyprus, 2 month ago, Similar articles

It's been quite a long day. Before 9.00am I made more batches of almond milk, granola, and lemonade because I didn't want to have to do so tomorrow. I put a loaf in the breadmaker for lunch, too.  Then we went to Metro pick up the turkey we had ordered, and some sausagemeat, and some potatoes and veg... and various other bits and pieces that had appeared on my list. It wasn't anywhere near as crowded as I had expected, so that was good.  Tim has made two sorts of stuffings, and he and...

It's Christmas Eve!

From Ya' All Right?, 2 month ago, Similar articles

The 365 Project  #358 It's Christmas Eve, and it's been a busy one!  First up, I went out for a run this morning.  You know you're in small town Ohio when horse and buggy transportation is just the norm. This was followed up by lunch at a nearby Mexican restaurant.  We tried to go to our favourite place, Señor Pancho's, but they were closed for the holiday.  So instead, we ended

And we SCORED A TURKEY!!!!!There were Pavos and Pavitos, turkeys and little turkeys...and we scored the last turkey there.....YEAAAAH!We went for lunch in town, a most unpromising looking bar, but it was OK in fact and the food was fine.  Fairly typical fair honestly.  We took a walk around the town and I wondered why I hadn't brought my camera.  Still not sure why I managed to do that, but there it is. Got back to the house and took Chuck for a walk alongside the local dog,...

Tell Me Your Dream

Tell Me Your Dream

From Susu' World, 2 month ago, Similar articles

So here it is… my new blog name Be Inspired! More info here on the changes. In the mornings I take care of my job search. Send out applications and call places. Then have lunch – built around a hearty sandwich with lots of boosting veggies. Subsequently… a wide open space! A feeling that life purposely provides me with a window of soul-search possibilities. A chance to sit down and ask myself – who are you and what do you wish to do from now on' A huge question. An...

December in Chicago'

December in Chicago'

From Londonelicious: A food blog, 2 month ago, Similar articles

It’s been nice being in town. The city looks nice in winter when there’s no snow and the skies are clear. I’m enjoying exploring my neighborhood. I love this old sign on Milwaukee Avenue, storifying the neighborhood’s Polish roots. There are some buildings in downtown Chicago that are ridiculously gorgeous. Like The Pittsfield Building, where I’ve been having lunch a lot lately. With technology, signage of the old kind vanishes. Indoor chandeliers disappear too....
