Half Time

From Ali Blah Blah, 5 days ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I did it! My first half marathon. Two hours twenty-one minutes. 99% running, 1% waiting to go to the bathroom. 10lbs lost over six months and nearly 200 miles of training runs. It has been an amazing, exhilarating and crazy journey.  The icing on the cake was feeling good and being able to enjoy the whole race, having friends cheering from the sidelines, and then running across the finish line with Anna and Lucy. What a perfect way to spend Mothers Day weekend.I'll write more when I... Read more

Have you ever set out to do something for someone but they ended up blessing you instead'I went to visit someone and took over some fruit from our yard.  She recognized them immediately and called them "bluggos".  Her husband explained that they are a cross between a banana and plantain. From Expat Mom, 2 weeks ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Since having Dominic, I’ve lost a lot of weight. I lost quite a bit during the pregnancy, but gained it back due to the postpartum pre-eclampsia . . . but have since dropped that again. Even so, I’m still in the obese category and obviously want to change that. One of the biggest issues with being so fat is that it’s HARD to lose weight and it’s easier to be lazy. We recently discovered the program “I Used to be Fat” which follows teens who leave high school... Read more

Pregnancy Discoveries

From Real Life Online, 1 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

Since my parents passed away before they could give me any pointers on what to expect during pregnancy, everything has been quite surprising for me. What you see in TV soap operas and movies about pregnancy is not even half of the things I am experiencing. My OB and Google are my only guides now. If you're a veteran at this, you might laugh at me. But if you were in my shoes once, you may agree.1. Nausea and vomiting. Doesn't always happen only in the first trimester. If you're one of the 20%... Read more
