Half Time

From Ali Blah Blah, 5 days ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

I did it! My first half marathon. Two hours twenty-one minutes. 99% running, 1% waiting to go to the bathroom. 10lbs lost over six months and nearly 200 miles of training runs. It has been an amazing, exhilarating and crazy journey.  The icing on the cake was feeling good and being able to enjoy the whole race, having friends cheering from the sidelines, and then running across the finish line with Anna and Lucy. What a perfect way to spend Mothers Day weekend.I'll write more when I... Read more

From La Gringa's Blogicito, 1 month ago, Read 0 times. Similar articles

My tropical-sized 24-inch rain gaugeIn the past, I lamented that there was no official rain measurements for La Ceiba so I was determined to do my own unofficial measurements for my own information. Being a former CPA (For the crazies out there: note that is C-P-A, Certified Public Account, not C-I-A), I like numbers, facts, and statistics. Saying, "Man, we had a ton of rain yesterday!" just doesn't do it for me. It took me a while to get a tropical sized rain gauge ? I had to have my own made.... Read more

Even in Nairobi, I had heard about Amy Chua and her mothering techniques.... Read more
